Short-term prescriptions for things such as antibiotics are sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. We are unable to advise when your medication will be ready to collect - please contact the pharmacy directly.
If you're reordering medication from a repeat prescription, our Prescribers may need to carry out some additional checks, so please allow up to 3 working days for your prescription to be sent to your nominated pharmacy.
If you need a prescription earlier than 3 working days, email repeats.gpathand@nhs.net including your name/DOB and address along with medications required and we'll do our best to help you.
Sometimes, prescriptions for controlled drugs require a face-to-face appointment before they can be issued. If this is the case, your clinician will send your prescription to the pharmacy electronically during your appointment.
Once your prescription has been issued, you can contact your pharmacy to collect your medication, although we advise calling the pharmacy in advance to check if it's in stock and ready to collect.
